Printed in “Glas Crnogorca” (Montenegrin Voice) on 19.06.1904., a brief telegram exchange between Prince Nikola Petrović-Njegoš and King Petar I Karađorđević.
On this occasion, heartfelt greetings are intended for the Exalted Serbian Rulers:
To His Majesty
Peter I,
King of Serbia.
Kruševac.
I am spiritually with You at the unveiling of the monument to the Kosovo heroes with the same reverence that today inspires You and the entire Serbian people. With faith in the perseverance of Serbs, our thoughts and wills meet across space, to rectify by our unity what discord had brought to ruin on Kosovo on this day. Long live my brother and son-in-law, long live our Serbian people.
Nikola.

To His Royal Highness,
Nikola I,
Prince of Montenegro,
Cetinje.
From the Capital of Lazar, and near the monument to the Kosovo heroes which we unveiled yesterday, surrounded by thousands of my loyal Serbs, I send to the Lord of noble Montenegro my sincerest thanks for the fraternal greeting, which both I and my people have received with pleasure. May my father-in-law thrive, may the brave people of heroic Montenegro live long.
Petar.
